Description:       Firewall K-800 is a super “green” intumescent flame retardant barrier fabric designed for use in building upholstered furniture to comply with California TB 133. Firewall K-800 combines “green” flame retardant technology and intumescent chemistry to produce the most effective non-halogen flame barrier fabric available. K-800 forms a char barrier during ignition to insulate the polyurethane foam from the flame source. The flame retardant coating robs oxygen from the burning upholstery material to quickly extinguish it. K-800 combines both “active” and “passive” barrier traits. K-800 does not contain PBDE’s, halogens, formaldehyde or antimony.

Suggested Use:    K-800 can be used with a wide variety of upholstery materials. K-800 can be double upholstered or laminated to the upholstery. K-800 has excellent stretch for use on contoured seating applications. K-800 is also offered laminated to a variety of protective scrims and films. Testing of each composite is necessary to assure compliance.
